Since October 13, 2020 BF Mountain is proud to contribute to probably the most important cause for which we are all called to act. Safeguarding our planet to avoid the next mass extinction of living beings. Including the human race.
We will donate 1 euro for every purchase made on the bfmountainshop.com website to one of the most important and historic non-profit organizations for environmental protection: 1% for the Planet
In 2002, Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, created 1% for the planet and started a global movement.
Immediately after founding the 1% for the planet's mission they had a great worldwide echo. The idea was simple: As companies profit from the resources they take from the earth, they should protect those resources. Realizing their responsibility, brands such as Brushfire Records, Klean Kanteen, New Belgium Brewing, Honest Tea, Caudalie and many others have followed suit to join the movement.
The main idea is to connect members of the movement with high impact non-profit partners who align with their values and add to the story of their brand. In doing so, we take the time to understand what is truly important to our members. Through our partnership counseling process, we learned that the member, Klean Kanteen, cares deeply about a myriad of causes, including connecting young people to the wonders and science of our world through environmental education. As of 2008, Klean Kanteen's endorsement of NatureBridge is one of our longest-running partnerships.
Since its founding, the organization has certified more than $250 million in support of approved environmental nonprofits.
